Mitul Desai Speaks at The Carter Center Georgia Mental Health Forum

Our founder, Mitul Desai, recently spoke at The Carter Center Georgia Mental Health Forum, joining leaders across advocacy, public health, clinical care, and community support to discuss the urgent need for better solutions for serious mental illness and family caregivers.

The forum honored the legacy of Mrs. Rosalynn Carter, whose lifelong work helped bring mental health and caregiving out of the shadows. Mitul shared reflections from his own family’s caregiving journey and spoke about the importance of building more coordinated, practical support systems for families navigating serious mental illness.

He joined a panel alongside Jason Resendez, Krystal Scott, Rachel Waford, and Susie Kyle, with remarks from former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, highlighting the need for an all-hands-on-deck approach to improving care, advocacy, and support.
